Baby Day!!

I called the hospital on the 27th of October at 5 AM as instructed by my doctor to get induced.
We got to go in at 6:30 AM...I got hooked up to the pit.
We had a great nurse, which I am always very grateful for.

I had a hour to decide if I was  going to get an epidural or not because he needed to go and help for a C-section.
I decided to get one because I was in pain and wasn't sure if I could it without a epidural.
The nurse checked me and I was about at a 5...she left for about 45 minutes.
Aaron decided to use the bathroom in case things started to happen...
While Aaron was in the bathroom and the nurse was gone-
I started to get very painful pressure...I was talking to Aaron saying that I was in a lot of pain and I wondered if I was at a 10.
I was asking Aaron if he thinks that I should push the button for the epidural, he suggested that I might want to.
So I did- then I pushed it again.
I could hear my doctor, Doctor Noorda and my nurse outside my door talking.
I wanted her to come in so bad- finally she did-- and I told her that I thought that she might want to check me.
Well, I was READY TO HAVE THIS BABY...
So she went and got my doctor...
Ryan was coming face forward...so the doctor kept pushing him back up and he finally flipped the correct way to come out.
He was hard to get out- He is my biggest baby weighing in at 8 lbs. 20 inches long. He was born at 2:19 PM.
He came out white/grey looking and the doctor kept shaking him trying to get him to breath.
You can tell in this picture a little bit how white/grey looking he was.

That first night Ryan spit up A LOT.
Aaron stayed up with him because every time we would lay him on his back he would spit up.
The pediatrician, Dr. Bell, wasn't too worried about it and eventually he got better.
Dr. Bell said that sometimes babies do that if they swallowed a lot of amniotic fluid.

It took us a while to decide on a name for this little man.
I had always wanted the name "Ryan" and Aaron didn't because he has a co-worker named "Ryan."
So his name was between Vince and Ryan.
Ryan won!
We LOVE YOU RYAN!
